its late, yes it is

I just came back from watching Sweeney Todd. it was like what many described it to be, a musical-movie fusion. it was quite good, on a scale of ten I'd give it a seven. the story line was a simple one, but the execution from start to finish was pure art displayed on a fine palette. the music and lyrics were well written too.

before the movie, my mum and I had dinner at Earle's Swensens. It was supposedly more 'atas' then the normal Swensens, but we didn't knew it till my cousin who was working there told us so. sure, the prices were higher, there was a salad bar, but somehow it didn't feel anywhere near 'atas' standard. later I met up with Alex and Sebrina and their friend Wei Quan. on the way out of the airport, when the lift door opened, I saw this guy in a very familiar jacket walk past me. a jacket so freshly imprinted on me I can not forget. sure enough I looked at his face, it was Jiayu. I just met him yesterday for the bowling session cum family day. beside him was his music teacher Lee Wei Song, the brainchild of the Lee Wei Song music school, singer & composer. apparently through the brief words exchanged it seemed that Jiayu was sending him off overseas. so as both parties were in a rush, we didn't stick around for long, and left for our respective destinations.

what struck me was the incredible coincidence. come on, T3 is THAT BIG. and I didn't spot him from afar. he was walking right past the door less than 2m away when the door opened and I stepped out. absolutely amazing!

anyway now I'm back and it's late. disturbingly late. I know last saturday I slept later, but.. its different. I had a valid excuse cuz it was clubbing, and clubbing is meant to be late. but anyway, I enjoyed my dinner, the movie, and the company; even the pleasant, albeit brief surprise. the day didn't end up in nothing after all.
